چکیده
EM: erythema multiforme HSV: herpes simplex virus JAK-STAT: Janus kinaseesignal transducer and activator of transcription TRPS: tricho-rhino-phalangeal syndrome INTRODUCTION Erythema multiforme (EM) is an acute, typically self-limited mucocutaneous eruption characterized by distinctive target lesions. In a subset of patients, EM has a more chronic course, with recurrent episodes or even persistent disease. In some of these patients, EM is related to chronic infections, most commonly herpes simplex virus (HSV), and will respond to antiviral therapy. However, in up to 58% of patients, the etiology is unknown, and in these cases treatment is often difficult.

JAK-STAT pathway and JAK inhibitors: a primer for dermatologists
Background: All cellular events depend upon the DNA synthesis and gene expression involving complex interplay between ligands such as interleukins and interferons, with various cell membrane receptors. These ligand-receptors interactions transmit signals within the cell via numerous signal transduction pathways to affect gene expression. Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcrip...

Panax ginseng is the most widely used herbal medicine for improving cognitive functions. The pharmacological activity and underlying mechanisms of mountain-cultivated ginseng, however, have yet to be clearly elucidated, in particular, against trimethyltin-induced cognitive dysfunction. We previously reported that interleukin-6 plays a protective role against trimethyltin-induced cognitive dysfu...

Background & Aims: Allergic diseases have increased in the last decade worldwide and researchers have been trying to introduce new strategies and drugs to treat these types of diseases. Nicotine shows anti-inflammatory properties and the studies have revealed that it can reduce the inflammation and the allergic responses. The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a multifunctional protein kin...
